Dear Family and Friends,
Another week has gone by...sadly, I blink my eyes and its a new day. The Journeys are endless and unforgetable. Being here in the office is a little different and there are so many great lessons to be learned, but as I continue my time serving the Lord, I have come to understand that all service done under Christ, brings us close to him and the Love that is provided through his Atonement.
We just barely finished our first Transfers(I believe it is in English) in spanish cambios, anyways it was a whole new expierence being here in the office. I saw the eyes of missionaries stepping toward the plane that brought them back home, to there families and away from full time service as a missionary and the same day I saw eyes of new missionaries with energy and light ready to serve the Lord for two years as a missionary. It was a very stunning week, full of emotions. My dear friend Elder Haake who served as my first Zone Leader and assistent and companion for a few days went home this week as well, he was a great example to me and has taught me so many things.
I have also loved seeing the Lord work through President Marler, the way he handles the companionships and how he knows who and where they need to go. It is so very inspired. It is such a simple action to say this missionary needs to go there and serve with this persons, very easy to say, but its an eternal change you make for that missionary(ies), area, ward, and the Vineyard of the Lord. The Lord trust so much in his servents. He is so very wise, the ways he uses agency to allow us to grow and become like him. Without agency nothing works--Priesthood, callings, families, everything in the Plan of Our Heavenly Father.
I am still focusing this week and for the past few weeks on the importance of Meekness, Its talks about it in Moroni 7, If we are meek and lowly in heart, we will grow in Faith and hope, when we have faith and hope, we are able to pray with alll of energy of our hearts for Charity. Meekness is the beginning to Charity.
I pray for all of you and am very greatful for your examples and love. Have a wonderful week and Ill be writing next week in a blink of an eye.
Love Elder Marshall
I was blessed to have the chance to give a training to the new missionaries on the importance of Obedience and our comision to the Lord. Training is so Hard in English! I struggled way bad, my english has definantly worsned--is that a word---during my time here.
Switch it over to spanish...little bit easier. Great missionaries, they will teach me oh so many things. here in the office they say you become aun mas bilangua.
