Elder Valencia distracted them and I stole the wine.
Well, This week was incredible! So many memories that I will always remember for the rest of my life! Everybody always says to make sure your christmas´s are the best in the mission! We went overboard here in Trujillo and made it sooo awesome, like el mejor navidad en all my life! We also saw a lot of miracles happen in our work! I got tonz of stories!
We are working with a few families...today I think ill talk about two!
AnaMelba, Bruce, Jhoselin, Michelle.
They are doing so good. This past week we had a lesson about the Sacerdocio, Preisthood, and after The women in the house said, Bruce needs this. we has to recieve this! it was soo cool, because they understood the importance of it. Also, This past sunday we have a Preach my Gospel class we just started, Elder Valencia and I, and we brought Bruce and Michelle along...it was so great. anyways we did a practice at the end of the class. Bruce and Michelle were comps...everybody went first before them and then Bruce and Michelle went, and wow! Michelle contacted our lider missional, and it was incredible, like better then the missionaries, and she knew it...she felt so good, and happy. She asked for a preach my gospel book.....guys shes not even a member! Yup Elder Valencia and I were pretty stoked. I gave Bruce a tie this week for Christmas and Made him promise that we would take a picture of him wearing this tie in 6 years when he is Elder Melendez! He said of course, hermano doo Marshall! We also had a few lessons this past week about the Temple with them. and thats there goal! Cant wait to go through with them!
Juriko, Mery, Baetric, Monica, Mannessa, Sergio!
This family, oh man, there the greatest! We were able to talk with our families this past week for Chistmas and we talked with them in the house of these guys! they were all so exctied to see my gringito family, and they talked about them for many hours after. But thank you family because there was a spirit in the home for the rest of the day. They just kept telling me how beautiful my family is, and what happened with me and stuff like that! anyways, we had a few lessons with them this past week, and Juriko, has had a few challenges in the past, she is pregnant and doesnt have a husband, so she has a few things she has to do to feel and have the spirit with her again, and to be able to enter in the temple, which is her grand goal. So, we told her we were gonna pick her up on sunday at 7:30 si o si, and we were going to pray for her, and send her a scripture everyday to help her with her goals! well, she went to church yesterday, had her interview with the bishop, and started her repentance process. It was a neat miracle that we were able to be apart. We still have alot of work to go with this family but, they are ready to make the changes and they have the faith, its been such a blessing to work with this family!
Christmas Eve, was super great, we had a dinner with our zone, and after dinner we did a little white elephant and elder valenica and I had the best gift we are sure of it, Last week we were in the house of AnaMelba, Bruce pulled some Wine out of his fridge....we flipped. Elder Valencia distracted them and I stole the wine...and put it in my sling bag, we said the prayer and ran out of the house....we were walking in the street with the wine, pondering what we should do with it.....I was thinking about breakin it...duh! but then my comp said...White Elephant! sooo our white elephant gift was two McDonald cups...plastic! and a bottle of Peruvian Wine! haha the zone flipped! it was pretty great!
Navidad! Its a totally different feeling in the misison, Christmas. I sure felt a lot of different feelings through out the day, but it all brought me back to the joy I felt, The joy to be preaching the gospel 24/7, the joy to be strengthen my testimony while helping others find theres, the joy to be away from the family...but to be able to talk to them for a while,it was so great. The joy to be able to be companeros with Elder Valencia, hes my best friend, but mas, the joy to be able to give my life for two years, to the one who gave his life for all! Ill never forget my Navidad 2014.
Thank you for all the Emails, support, prayers, and love! I wish you all a Happy New Year! 2015 I encourage you all to make some goals, but make some goals this year with the help of our heavenly father, make the goals that will make the best you! I just get to be the happiest missionary for ALL OF 2015 YIPEE!
