This is the great work that we are so blessed to do, that we are so blessed to know!
Alright so, I would like to apologize to everyone who didnt get an email from me, I decided to take time this writing session and send some pics home! so enjoy! I dont have much time IM really sorry, im failing at the whole writing great letters home but Just know that im trying haha!
So This week was steller! The greatest moment this past week was Having the great honor to baptize Francisco! He is the greatest! It was a beautiful expierence, a little bit crazy because a lot of things happened, so friday I asked My comp, hey we have a bautismo what do we need to do to get everything get prepared and for everything to be perfect. I asked him about the font and he was like ohhh yah! so we went over to the church and fumbled with tons of keys, it was kind of a stressful night, anyways we drained the font, I took of my shoes, jumped in and tried to clean it the best i can, The people of peru arent the cleanest, and im a little bit of a clean freak...in way! Mom your probably saying huh sure! anyways we drained it cleaned it and then it was time to go home. So Saturday the day of the bautismo we went to the church about an hour before the baptism and started to fill up the font, all was going great when all of the sudden my comp gets a text from Victor, Hes the mission leader, he had a baby this past tuesday, He is the one who is incharge of the program for the baptism and he also was going to conduct the service, anyways we get a text saying hes not going to make it until 4, the bautismo was at 3, and francisco is always on time, so we called him and said hey come at 3:30, so that was good and then boom our investigador Carlos shows up at 3 because we invited him and when he showed up the font was still filling up. ahhh. it was madness! just a little lack of preparation, my next one will be way organized cause I know what needs to be done. haha! We started the service at 4ish! WE had a good crowd there for him! The service was great. I only had to baptize him once, I said the part right and got him under, which was good because the water was pretty cold! My comp was able to confirm him a member and give him the Espiritu Santo, which was a really cool moment in my mission for me, Just hearing the part We now confirm you a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter saints, he has been waiting to be a part of the Church that Christ established and that has the correct authority, so awesome. He bore his testimony after that, and it was AWESOME, he said that during the Confirmation he said that he heard the voz of heavenly father say you have been forgiven of all of your sins! ahhh!
This is the great work that we are so blessed to do, that we are so blessed to know! This moment was a big boost for me, I strive to help more people find this amazing path or to find the path once more! I am so greatful for the oppurtunity that I have everyday to wake up and put my placa on, walk out the door and find the lost sheep of the lord! Yah, I miss my family, my friends, my old easy life back at home, i may be blowing junks some days, but I am so Honored to be a missioanry for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!
Thank you for all of your prayers, thoughts and for all youve done for me in my life! Please keep writing me because i may not reply, but i print them off, i take the home with me and goodness I just love reading the emails! Its one of my favorite things in the world!
With so much love! Your Son, Brother, Friend forever, and MIssionary!
