Dear Family and Friends,
What a special week it has been, full of unforgettable moments, and steps of faith. One of my favorite parts of the gospel other then the simplity of it and how perfect it is, is the progression that is made. The feeling of spiritual growth. It is something that I have been pondering about these past few days, especially with the events of the past week.
We just completed another change in the mission, which means we had to say goodbye to 11 Elder and sisters. For me its one of the greatest and worst parts of this assignment. I love it because you are able to see Men and Sisters of God. True servents that have served with all of there heart. I love looking into there eyes, and feeling what they are feeling. There gratfulness and feeling of fullfillment with the Lord. I dont like saying goodbye, that parts really hard. They have become such great friends and examples for me.
Also, with changes we have the blessing to recieve new missionaries. We recieved 12 new missionaries this change. What incredible missionareis they are. The best part for me is looking into there eyes and feeling there energy, desires to serve the lord, but also there nervousness, fright, and worries. We spent a few hours with them getting to know them and then introduced them to there new companions. That is a neat expierence that brings a spirit of energy and unity.
The last moment with changes that I love is being a part of the process with President Marler. It is such a neat blessing to see how the Power of the Preisthood works during that process and the guidance of the Spirit. My favorite part is looking at the eyes of President Marler as he looks into the eyes of each missionary as he is trying to understand the will of the father for the next change.
After changes, we had a meeting with the group of missionaries that just barely finished there first change in the mission. Its called the 5 weeks meeting. This 5 week meeting we had the blessing to asisit a temple session early in the morning. What a neat expierence. Once again I loved having the chance to ponder and expierence spiritual growth there in the temple, but what I loved the most this time through was looking into the eyes of those in the celestial room. What peace, security, understanding of identity, and motivation are found in the eyes of those who are found in the celestial room. I pondered on this quote by Ezra Taft Benson.
“Nothing will surprise us more than when we get to heaven and see the Father and realize how well we know Him and how familiar His face is to us.”
― Ezra Taft Benson
I add nothing will suprise us more than how familiar his Eyes are to us. If we try and feel and understand what it will be like to look into the Eyes of our Father a definant peace comes. President Marler has continually taught us here in the mission that our eyes are the windows to our souls. I was thinking about Eyes a lot this past week and decided a few things.
Our Eyes reflect the most light on all of our body.
Our Eyes reflect our desires, our weaknesses, our emotions.
Our Eyes reflect the Light of Christ.
Our Eyes reflect our true identity as Children of God.
One of my goals is taking time to look into my own eyes and soul, seeing spiritually and understand how my Father in Heaven sees me. As we all have our Eyes singled to the Glory of God They will be filled with light and we will reach our potential. Take a few minutes this week and see yourself as he sees you!
Love Elder Marshall
These Three are my very best friends. I had a very special expierence with these two this past week. Sister Marler and I gave an incredible training, based on an impression she had. It was so neat to look into her eyes as she was training with the spirit. She is my peruvian momma! Latina at heart. Elder Bond drew that picture on morning with a mechanical pencil. hes so talented but so humble.
Everybody knows how to Juggle in our apartment. So awesome.
Yup, Elder Romero got it down.
Our favorite snacks. Chocolate Milk in a bag. and Healthy crac

Elder Romero is the greatest person in the whole world. I look up to him so much!
