We are all so very blessed, sometimes we get lost in our to do list, or stressed by the worldy problems, I learned the importance that night of stopping and listening,
My Dear Loved ones!! :
This weeks was SO GREAT! It was the last week of the change and we put it into 7th gear that is for sure. We really just wanted the missionaries to work there hardest and give it there all! And thats exactly what they did! It was an awesome week.
Elder Cowley and I had a very spiritual week, full of impressions and things that we need to accomplish. We had many meetings with the Presidente of the stake, the mission president, to bapitsm interviews and stressed out bishops, and in the midest of all that we just tried to follow the spirit, which can sometimes be very dificult when so many things are going on. We were on the way home from a baptism interview and we got a call from the office, and found out that some Elderes in the zone hadnt filled out a record out correctly, anyways we got frustrated and it really hit us that we need to make sure our missionaries were keeping careful records. Anyways, we had recieved a lot of impressions that this was a big problem in the zone since the beginning, but it became more evident, so we decided to interview every companionship on saturday morning. We asked them to bring there area books and there agendas, we interviewed the zone from 8am until 1pm and we found many things to be true and it was a great expierence to help the missionaries repent and understand the importance of keeping spiritual records, They all went home that day a little stung, but they are all very humble servents of the Lord, and they all updated there area books and made a great record of all the expierences the lord had given them in the past change. Its a good thing we followed that impression because about half of our zone will be leaving tomorrow to different areas. It was such a blessing to follow an impression and to help the missionaries in such an eternal aspect. Ill never forget that expierence. DYC 121:41-44.
We also went to a baptism on the beach this past saturday as well, it was quite an expierence, but man it took forever get out there. It was a baptism of the hermanas in our zone and they were so very excited so we decided to take one of our investigadores with us, we left at about 3pm and got back to Casa Grande at 8pm, we also got stranded in a little bus in the middle of a suger field because our bus ran out of gas, thats also another reason we got back late, but one of the most impactful expierences I had on my mission happened that night! One of the many buses we got into, called combis, had a little boy working it it, He was the door slider opener, kinda like the white van we had, anyways, I started talking too him and asked him how old he was, He was a little 9 year old boy, named Kevin, I asked him what he liked to do, expecting to hear play soccer or something, he said, work, i like to work, i asked him why, he said so i can buy my clothes. That response changed my life, I remember a talk by Jeffery R Holland in that instant about what we should do when we come across those who dont have, a talk that changed my life, I listened to the spirit, pulled my wallet out, pulled out what I had, rolled it up in a photo of chirst, and wrote him a small note, telling him I loved him, I told him to buy his family the clothes they needed, and the food they didnt have. Gave him a fist pump and said goodbye, and quickly borded the bus to Casa Grande.
We are all so very blessed, sometimes we get lost in our to do list, or stressed by the worldy problems, I learned the importance that night of stopping and listening, something that I need to do better, The spirit is always trying to help us, he is always trying to communicate with us, but sometimes, unknowingly, we close our ears, and our hearts. I have repented many times for not listening to the spirit, its some of the hardest prayers to offer. I am so very greatful for the grace of god, and for being a full time missionary for Christ, I love this work, I have so many things to learn and so many ways to become better, but I know its possible because I Know in whom I have put my Trust! 2 Nefi 4:19
Lets Listen together this week!
