Alright, so Sabado...we all had the oppurtunidad to go prozylating in Lima, I was assigned a intermedio campanion who didnt know what rico meant in espanol....so it was crazy because i mainly taught the lesson in a foign language that its still way hard and new.... but ill explain later. so we start at a church in central peru, and we are with a 18 year old member who is going to serve his mission in colombia, but he only knew espanol and then we went with a maestro at the ccm and he only knew spansih as well. sooo we walked and went on a search for the inactive members and we had the section that was on the hill of central lima peru which is the poor part of the city, so we walked about tonz of stairs, up the mountain past houses that were stacked on other houses, find a picture on peru of it, sooo amazing. anyways we found our first person..that answered the door, it was a 21 year old girl who hadnt been to church for 2 anos, anyways the member explains to her that we have prepared a message and he looks at my senior comp, and then he looks at me and says go for it! sooo i did, i shared a scrip with her, ether 12:6 and explained that in life hard things test our faith and that its important for use to do the small things like going to church and partaking of the sacrement to help strengthen our faith. and after i testifyed she decided to talk...which is normal...but they speak sooooo fast and so i didnt understand a thing, it was way hard, but i went with it and the member helped and the spirit was strong, soo scary though.. then we walked around and around for a while and found the next house and went in and talked to this man omar, and then his mom came down and she took us upstairs and had us help her do some of her work with her, which was interweaving these cardboor 1" pieces together for chicken eggs, anyways we did, and they talked to the member and the maestro and i tried to understand, but nope it was a rough spanish day for me anyways then they turned the time over for a lesson to us. so once again my senor was like we have a messgae about christ...looks at me! so im like alrigh there we go. 3 nephi 11:14 great scrip about christ, dont know why that one but it worked out well, anyways then i testifyed that we will all touch christs hands and know that he is christ. and then i testifyed that there is one way that we can touch his hands now, and that is by attending church and partaking of the sacrememnt, the spirit was strong, i still dont think they went to church because they had family things...i think thats what they said... it was a crazy awesome expierence, i learned a lot, i set a lot of spanish goals for the next time we get to go which isnt this week but next and i cant wait to go again....
for a minute though. please thank heavenly father for what you have today! i was so amazed at the blessings that we take for grantted every day!! these people have little to nothing, and this is the center of peru!!! This expierence touched my heart and opened it in so many ways! Be thankful for what you have, be happy, and go out and serve others!!!
